On this day, guess where we went as a class? Brugges!
The weather was splendid. We took the train to the town, which was surprisingly full of retail shops and cozy cafes in contrast to the quiet historical village I'd expected.
Greeted by a brook. Is this what they call it? Nonetheless, super peaceful to gaze out on!
Strolling down the cobblestone road to the main square
Chanced upon this lovely abode of tulips.
Damn pretty right!? I love it. Not in a bouquet, but planted and thriving on breathing soil.
My main travel companions for that day! Pardon the spastic smile
If I had a house, this would be my dream porch decor in Spring.
Soup place which Jon recommended. Pity it was closed until dinner time 😢
Dessert before lunch because why not
Definitely coming back if I ever return to Brugges!
Wasn't expecting to see sneaker shop here lor
You can't see her but this lady was superb at juggling order-taking, food preparing, and cashiering all by herself. We were duly impressed. She was extremely warm and hospitable too.
Belgium frites with samourai sauce
The central square...
...is HUGE.
So pretty, so pretty.
Me being super happy. I got to walk + eat a lot that day. And the weather was damn good. Can walk so much without breaking a sweat and feel the warm sun on your body.
Brugges, I adore you.
We came upon a shop selling S&M stuff lolol. Walked inside to browse a bit.
Candid shot of Scarlet with da long legs. This girl is soo shy
MOAR CHOCO
Europe has no shortage of large, fluffy dogs that look like wolves sometimes.
Shared this dainty soup set meal with Scarlet for tea. The acidity of strawberries made for an interesting contrast with the creaminess of the vegetable soup. C'est délicieux!
One last photo before we left Brugges. Bye for now, I might come back again someday 😘
